Associate professor Dr. Bernhard Ungericht

Bernhard Ungericht deals with questions of economic and business ethics. His academic work focuses on the critical analysis of current economic action and thinking as well as the question of "good economic management" and the structural, institutional, cultural and psychological transformation processes required for this. In this subject area, he has led four research projects for the Austrian National Library's Jubilee Fund and several research projects on behalf of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Styrian provincial government.

He studied economics and political science in Innsbruck and spent several months as a research fellow at the Universities of Windhoek and Cape Town. He has published numerous articles, including in the "Journal of Business Ethics", "ZfO - Zeitschrift für Führung und Organisation", "Wirtschaftspsychologie", "Zeitschrift für Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensethik", "WISO - Wirtschafts- und Sozialpolitische Zeitschrift", "Global Business Review", "Kurswechsel" and "Perspektive Mediation". He has also published several textbooks and non-fiction books - most recently: "Immer-mehr und Nie-Genug! A brief history of the economics of excess" (2021).
