History of the Department

The Institute was originally founded in 1994 as the "Department for International Management" and was headed by Prof. Dr. Ursula Schneider until 2009. During her function as Dean of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences (2005-2007), she was represented by Prof. Dr. Manfred Fuchs.

In 2010, it was rededicated as a "Professorship for Management, Accounting and Empiricism", which was held by Prof. Dr. Jens Müller from 2011 to 2013. Since the beginning of 2015, the "Department for Accounting and Reporting" has been headed by Prof. Dr. Dr. Georg Schneider.
